What is your Cell Turnover Technology Complex (CTT Complex)™ ?

The Cell Turnover Technology Complex (CTT Complex)™ found in our Youth Elixir Stem Cell Serum is a proprietary technology through which we produce a unique conditioned media derived from adult human stem cells and fibroblasts. The cytokines and growth factors in this media can facilitate the regeneration and repair of skin cells and slow down the aging process.

How do you harvest the human stem cells?

We utilize adult human stem cells and fibroblasts because they are the essential building blocks of skin. Once we have extracted these cells, we apply a proprietary technique, which releases a whole array of growth factors and cell switches that stimulate repair. After this, we remove the cells and harvest these growth factors and suspend them in a medium to keep them active before adding the medium to our serum base.

What makes your conditioned media unique?

Our conditioned media is unique because our cellular biologists use a proprietary method to increase the yield, manipulate the cells, and stimulate various growth factors. Through this process, we can produce a highly specialized and potent conditioned media which, when applied topically to the skin via our Serum, can deliver outstanding skin care benefits.

Who are your cells from?

We use certified GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) cells cultivated in a laboratory. These cells have been multiplied many times after extraction and cannot be attributed to their source. Through strict laboratory processing, we know that the cells are sterile and safe for use.

Why do you use human stem cells and not plant-derived stem cells?

The human body has a fantastic ability to heal and treat itself, and we want to capitalize on that. Treating like with like is also a principle prevalent in natural medicine, which our cellular biologists follow when formulating our products. We always try to use ingredients that are the same or very similar to things found in our skin. Ultimately, human stem cells contain the signal that human stem cells need to repair. Plant cells do not have these signals and cannot influence human cells.

Are your products safe to use around the eyes?

Yes, our products are safe to use around the eyes. However, we advise avoiding getting products directly in the eyes.

Are your products tested on animals?

No. We have conducted rigorous clinical testing; however, we have never tested our products on animals and will not conduct animal testing for any future products. We will also not sell our products to companies and / or countries where animal testing is a prerequisite.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Opened product will remain effective for 6 months. Unopened products will remain effective for 1 year. Store all products in a cool, dry place and avoid extreme temperatures.

Do your products contain SPF?

Our products do not contain SPF protection. We always recommend using a zinc-based sunscreen as the final step in your skincare routine.

Can you send me samples?

Unfortunately, we do not offer samples just yet although this is something we're hoping to do in the future. Please sign up to our email newsletter to make sure you are among the first to be notified when we do.

How long will the product last me?

The Youth Elixir Stem Cell Serum will last six weeks if used as directed. The Sea Oak Daily Oil Cleanser, the Sea Fennel Daily Gel Cleanser, and the Volcanic Mineral Daily Face Polish are each formulated and measured to last eight weeks with regular use. However, since they are intended to be used according to your unique skin needs and you may not use all three products twice a day, one product may last longer than the others.

How do I recycle your packaging?

Please recycle the product box, the glass bottle, and the plastic cap in your local recycling bin. Our pumps are not recyclable at this moment. However, we are working towards a take-back program for our pumps until we find an alternative packaging solution to maintain our product's integrity. Please visit our Sustainability page for the latest information.
